Description	The last known photograph of the structural steel at the Palace of Soviets site, published in the June 26, 1941 issue of the Moskovsky Bolshevik. This is the maximum extent of construction ever reached. The planned height of the northern wing, shown here, was 90 meters. The width of the boulevard in the foreground is around 80 meters.

Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8)	Illustrate the final extent of construction at the moment the work was suspended. The structure would be torn down soon. No duly published photos taken at this stage are known (certainly not with known provenance).
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1)	This is the only known photograph taken at this stage that was duly published in press. Other photographs have no certain provenance, and don't show the subject (the frame vs. the city) so well.
