Status Update - April

So I've gotten used to knowing that people don't generally like to associate with snuff art and artists. I get it. That's why I don't shout to people who favorite my stuff that have their favorites gallery hidden. I do appreciate it though.
The problem comes when I'm told that directly. Been some time since I heard it and maybe I'm taking it too personal but something about it just stung. Someone reached out to commission some art from me. He's a friend of someone that commissions me about 3 times a month and reached out because he wanted to make sure that I keep private commissions private. I told him I understand the concern, especially when I'm tasked with drawing a uniquely identifiable fursona, and that I've done well over 300 drawings that remain between me and the person that commissioned them. Here's what got to me:
"...I just want to be sure that its never linked that we talked or u drawn something for me. I CANT have people know I associate with your kind so maybe we can sign a contract? I trust u wont post but like if u get hacked or something I can deny it and u back me up saying you did it without my consent..."
Again, I get it, taboo and shit but fuuck. I just wrapped up my private commission queue and was doodling a commissions price list thingy to post but now I'm not sure how I feel about things. Doesn't help that I literally have 3 contacts on telegram I consider "friends" and can chat with here and there. I do have a non-snuff associated account and on that I got plenty of friends and groups but its different. It's hard to explain but I hope someone gets what I'm trying to say.
Anyways, I'm not taking commissions, public or private. I don't plan on posting anything soon as nothing is in the works and I'm not sure how I feel about continuing to draw publicly.

And it's illogical besides. (The contract would be no good without both your RL names and signatures, so signing a contract would create a massive proof that the two of you were indeed in contact and negotiated the 'evil' snuff drawing.)
Please don't let this disgusting ... event ... keep you from enjoying what you are doing, or from offering commissions or from publishing your art. There are those who are definitely enjoying your art. (I must admit that I was pretty silent lately, but for the reason that I was pretty overwhelmed with stuff in my life going on, and consequently exhausted...)
*hugs gently*
