- I don't want to crosspost this to every single image that I have nominated for deletion, but I can if deemed necessary. Just to be 100% clear, Wikipedia:Public_domain#When_does_copyright_expire? is explicit in stating that work published from 1963 to 1977 inclusive, which does have an assertion of copyright made, e.g. using © 1975, is copyright for 95 years. The uploader acknowledges in this post on my talk page that the images are copyright and therefore his claim to their being PD is based on a misunderstanding. --Biker Biker (talk) 11:47, 27 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - oh boy. I've already had a long conversation with the uploader about this. I very much got the impression that the images were released in a press kit without a copyright notice, and as such were not copyrighted in fact by the companies.
