yes, I know that you all believe in the philosophy of "do as I say, not as I do".
Unfortunately for you guys the drafters of the British and American legislature seem to be under the impression that torturing and mutilating people is a crime against humanity and it doesn't make a difference who is doing it or why.
They also think that people shouldn't be executed or given ten thousand year jail sentence for jaywalking, so they came up with the idea of minimum and maximum ranges for penalties. Which is why this person received a sentence to serve for a minimum of 19 years and a maximum until death.
Ever hear the expression that justice is blind? it means that all people receive the same standard of trial based on testimony and evidence, and not just subject to what any mob with wild variance of emotions might think.
Yes, this man is a monster and he deserves to be punished for his crimes... But all of the people that seem to be so against "Big Brother" once again hypocritically don't seem to mind rallying against such a system that prevents those abuses.
Maybe you forget about the holocaust, the Japanese internment camps, Stalin's gulags... to allow the barbarity of a person to be punished for any reason to any severity without limitation is a much greater injustice than this man has perpetrated, because it is an injustice against all of civilization.
